Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be the shelter for each other.
Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be the warmth for each other.
Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before.
Go now to you dwelling place into the days of your life together.
And may your days be good and long upon the earth.

Treat yourselves and each other with respect, and remind yourselves often of what brought you together.
Give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness and kindness that your connection deserves.
When frustration, difficulty and fear assail your relationship – as they threaten all relationships at one time or another – remember to focus on what is right between you,
not the only part that seems wrong.
In this way, you can ride out the storms when clouds hide the face of the sun in your lives – remembering that even if you lose sight of it for a a moment, the sun is still there.
And if each of you takes responsibility for the quality of your life together, it will be marked by abundance and delight.

~Apache Marriage Blessing

This beautiful Blessing was inscribed in both in English and Portugese for this multi-lingual wedding!
It was such a beautiful blessing I thought how appropriate to reintroduce Ariele and Ivan who we saw last year with their North Shore Engagement.

Their wedding day was filled with family and friends and so much joy. I was elated to be a part of it!

Ivan was dashing and couldn’t stop smiling every second of the day. His parents, siblings, and extended family travelled all the way from Brazil to share in the joy of his day. Complete with a traditional liqueur!

Ariele had her mother, sister and best friend to help her get ready and there was not a moment without laughter
as they gussied her up in her gorgeous gown and attended to each detail perfectly.

I love this shot below as you can see and feel the joy and laughter in the room!

She was just stunning. Such a beautiful and elegant bride.

It was not my intention to bring tears to these lovely ladies but if you read about their engagement shoot, you may have realized I grew up with these girls in our neighborhood of Birchcrest Estates of Tyngsboro, MA. When I was just 3 years old, Ariele and her mother were the first people I met as I wandered into her yard to meet the baby in the walker and the woman tending a garden.
I had no idea less than 30 years later that I would be the photographer for her wedding.
So you will have to bear with the extended posts of many additional pictures, as it was so wonderful to help her celebrate the day by
capturing every moment, emotion, and and childhood friend.

She truly is breathtaking in these shot below.

There is just something so much fun about a first look. Sharing in the joy and excitement with the family and friends!

The new family!

Then it was off to the ceremony to get Married!

But not yet without a big kiss from dad…

Cheers!

We got a few more of the formalities out of the way and then we took a break outside to get some air where the limo awaited.
What better way than to take a few mintues to toast to eachother, compliments of Grace Limousine and their champagne toast!

As the couple entered the boisterous Reception, the tables were covered in gorgeous arrangements by Apotheca Flowers
and family friends Leo and Jerry Foley played the cocktail music prior to the entrances!

They had to dance the most exquisite waltz I’ve ever seen.  I know they were practicing for quite some time, truly fantastic!

My favorite part of the father daughter dance was to see that not only did Ariele dance with her dad, but she invited all the other fathers with daughters and mothers with sons present to join them.

Another break for Dusk Shots!

With all the formalities, it was clear to Mr. Joey Dion of Main Events (below, to the upper right),
that this crowd wanted to dance! Not only is he one of the finest DJ’s in the area but he certainly did a phenomenal job with the uplighting of the venue.
Keep on scrolling through the post to see how dynamic the images get with captured emotion and rockin colors!!!

The evening would not be complete without a special dance between mother of the Bride and Family Friend!

So much energy and love in all the faces!

As I was setting up the portrait of the old gang from the neighborhood, I had to hand over the camera and was asked to join in! It was so wonderful to see everyone!

I have to thank the amazing team of people who helped put everything together so beautifully and elegantly for Ariele and Ivan. When I first met with Ariele she had barely begun her wedding planning, in fact her sister Bailey managed all of the coordination and details herself so I was overjoyed to be able to recommend a fe of my favorite vendors and help her pick her fabulous team.

First of all I have to thank my amazing, talented and very patient friend and second shooter Jeff Newcum . He got so many magnificently dramatic moments of Ivan and his family getting ready. Secondly, I also need to thank my other shooter and assistant Kimberly Jones. I love those additional captures as well as those gorgeous details and extra moments. The both of  you helped me make the day perfect for Ariele and Ivan.
